Three places to expand your environmental horizons

The environmental sector is brilliant at sharing information and, in London at least, there are more green networking events than you can shake an FSC-sourced stick at. We know you already know about Green Mondays, Net Impact and the wonderful lecture programme at the RSA, so we're not going to bang on about them.

Instead here are three regular green events that are a little bit different - and where you're likely to meet more than the usual suspects. Better than that, they are all completely free!

Arcola Green Sundays

Come and go as you please, or come and stay like most people do. The next event on Sunday 7th February is stuffed full of performances, interactive sessions and talks: themed 'well-being, health and happiness', there will be live music, free massages and speakers from the New Economics Foundation tackling alternatives to GDP.

LSE public lectures

These are many and varied, with a few brilliant ones coming up next month...the Mayor's strategy for a Low Carbon London, Jonathan Porritt on whether current the economic model will enable us to combat climate change, John Lanchester, Prof Joseph Stiglitz and Prof Tim Jackson all on a similar theme, sustainable housing, and a philosophical look at biodiversity and species extinction...to name but a few.

Friends of the Earth Green Drinks

Many events are London-centric and those based elsewhere tend to have to travel for their dose of green networking. Green Drinks is different - wherever you are, there is likely to be one near you. Some are more active than others, with the most popular once again in central London.
